Visual Aids

Visual aids are very helpful in communicating biblical truth. God himself used many visual aids to teach us things about his person and his work.

Psalm 19 tell us that creation itself is like a huge

visual aid that declares the glory of God. Jesus, when he walked the earth, referred to vines, flowers and fields to make a point. The altar and the cross are both places associated with death, and for the believer, they are reminders of the substitutionary work of Christ.

There are topics in the Bible, such as the Tabernacle of Moses, that are almost impossible to communicate without a visual aid. Yet the stories surrounding the Tabernacle provide foundational background to the New Testament.

Loved by young and old alike, visual aids bring important lessons to life, and help in comprehension and retention.

Despite being very careful to teach the Bible clearly, the Humphreys encountered problems. The Manjúi put on a veneer of Christianity, but underneath they clung to their animistic beliefs. They were mixing two belief systems together. What could Pete and Leah do? The Manjúis’ eventual trust in Jesus is an exciting story of front line ministry in action.

Learn what the Humphreys did to overcome the challenges, and more importantly, see how it is applicable to ordinary believers anywhere in the world today.

TABERNACLE MODEL KIT

In the Bible, there are about 50 chapters dedicated to the Tabernacle.

Why does the Bible provide so much detail? One reason is that it is God’s visual aid to explain what Jesus would do on the cross. When understood correctly, the Tabernacle helps shed light on the work of Jesus.

How do  you  communicate its important message? Perhaps as you’ve read the description of the Tabernacle you’ve found yourself getting lost in all the details. You’ve read the measurements and descriptions but still don’t have a good picture of what it was actually like.

This 1:90 scale model gives you the opportunity to visualize the Tabernacle and understand its significance.

Features

Assembly: Assembly of this 328-piece kit not only helps expand your understanding of the Tabernacle, it also gives you an excellent tool to help teach others about the Tabernacle. THE MENORAH

The menorah was one of the pieces of furniture in the Tabernacle. Though its shape is known, the Bible does not give the size of the menorah. However, a depiction of the menorah (and thus its size) can be seen on the Arch of Titus. This arch was built to commemorate the Roman General Titus’s conquest of Jerusalem and the plunder of the Temple and its artifacts. The menorah in this set was designed based on a careful study of that monument.

The menorah was the only light in the Tabernacle. It was to burn continuously. Christians believe it is a picture of Jesus who said,

“I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.” – John 8:12 (NIV)

It is understood that, just as the menorah was the only light in the Tabernacle, so Jesus Christ is the only one who can tell us how to walk in this world, the only one who can give us the true path to eternal life.

The menorah is 1:10 in scale and constructed of metal and electroplated in gold. It is packed in a box and can be presented as a gift.

The Bible’s overall instructions for constructing the ark are quite specific with the exception of the cherubim. The details of this model are kept simple but elegant.
